There's a lot to love about DC!

A visit to the Nation’s Capital can feel overwhelming. There are literally a lifetime of things to do and places to see. The District is a vibrant city that feels political on the outside, but has an identity all its own. Washington is a vibrant city with historic attractions, breathtaking monuments, the best museums in the world, great restaurants, and a list of places to visit over a mile long.  The best part?  Most of the things to see and do in DC are completely, 100% free!

The most important thing to pack when visiting DC are a comfortable pair of shoes. You’ll be walking… a lot! Make sure to check out a Smithsonian Museum, or three! Explore the Washington, Jefferson, MLK, and Lincoln monuments. Walk the Mall and have lunch by the reflecting pool. Tour the Supreme Court or the US Capitol Building, visit the Library of Congress, or take a selfie in front of the White House.  It’s all 100% free!

Have some cash in your wallet? Take in the somber, but important Holocaust Memorial Museum, visit Ford’s Theatre and the home where President Lincoln died, or buy a ticket to the International Spy Museum. You just won’t have enough time to see everything so just move here!

It was so much fun, well worth the cost. If this is in your city or the city you’re visiting, DO IT! I did the Washington D.C. one this past week while in town for a conference, it was amazing. They offer one in Baltimore, my home town, so I will def be doing it again this summer. Don’t hesitate, trust me 😉
